RuDesk Privacy Policy and License Agreement

This page describes the basic rules for data processing, terms of use for RuDesk and limitations of liability when using the remote access service.

Product: RuDeskUpdated: August 3, 2026Original document language: Russian

1. RuDesk Privacy Policy

RuDesk is software for remote device access, technical support, connecting to work computers and administering your own systems. This policy describes the categories of data that may be processed when using the website, RuDesk client, account, administration panel and related technical services.

Data that may be processed

  • account data: username, email address, name or display name, address book settings;
  • client technical data: application version, platform, architecture, interface language, update status and server availability information;
  • network data: IP address, request date and time, approximate IP-based location, device and browser type;
  • remote access data: device identifiers, connection attempts, sessions, relay/rendezvous routing and diagnostic errors;
  • download and advertising data: client downloads, operating system, link visits, impressions and clicks on advertisements within RuDesk;
  • support messages and data voluntarily provided by users when contacting us.

Remote access data

Remote access data is used to operate the service: finding devices by ID, establishing connections, exchanging service messages, diagnosing sessions and providing client features. RuDesk is not designed for covert access to other people's devices. Users must have a lawful basis and permission to connect to a remote device.

Remote session content, files, screen images, clipboard contents, audio, camera feeds and terminal data may be transmitted between devices only through features initiated by the user or authorized by the remote party. Storing such data on RuDesk servers is not a purpose of the service unless a specific feature explicitly provides for recording, logging or file transfer.

RuDesk Cleaner: free operation limit

The free version of RuDesk Cleaner allows no more than five confirmed operations that modify the system per device. Diagnostics, scanning and viewing results do not count toward this limit. For tracking, the application locally combines stable hardware and operating system identifiers into an irreversible SHA-256 fingerprint. Original serial numbers, motherboard UUIDs and other source identifiers are not sent to the server or stored by the application.

The server receives only the resulting fingerprint, further protects it with a secret HMAC-SHA-256 and stores the protected value, platform, app version, counter, and the type and time of counted operations. The purpose is to enforce Free terms and prevent resetting the limit by simply reinstalling the app. Free operations that modify the system require a server connection. This technical data is retained as long as needed to track Free usage, prevent abuse and resolve user requests. Information, correction or deletion can be requested through support; deletion may affect availability of the free mode.

Cookies and website technical data

The RuDesk website may use cookies, browser local storage, web server logs and analytics tools for authentication, control panel security, download counting, interface improvements and measuring interest in website pages. Users can restrict cookies in their browser settings, but some website and account features may not work correctly.

Security

RuDesk applies technical safeguards appropriate to the service: access controls, accounts, passwords, one-time codes, server diagnostics and secure connections where supported by the infrastructure. However, no software or network service can guarantee absolute protection against all possible threats, failures, configuration errors or third-party actions.

Data transfers and infrastructure

RuDesk may use servers, domains, email services, analytics, Telegram notifications and other technical service providers. Data transfers are limited to service operation, support, security, statistics and fulfilling user requests.

Retention and deletion

Data may be retained as long as necessary for account operation, support, security, download tracking, legal compliance and protection of RuDesk's rights. Users can contact support to request deletion or correction. In some cases, certain technical logs may be retained for a limited period after account deletion.

2. RuDesk License Agreement / User Agreement

By using the website, account, administration panel or RuDesk client, users accept this agreement. Users who do not agree must stop using RuDesk.

Terms of use

  • RuDesk is provided for lawful remote access, technical support and device administration;
  • users are responsible for safeguarding their passwords, one-time codes, accounts and devices;
  • using RuDesk for unauthorized access, bypassing security, malicious activity, or violating third-party rights or the law is prohibited;
  • users must assess the risks of device connections, file transfers, clipboard use, cameras, microphones and terminals themselves;
  • individual features may be under development, change, be temporarily disabled or behave differently across platforms.

Licence

RuDesk grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the client and website for their intended functions. Users acquire no rights to trademarks, design, server infrastructure, source code, domains, website materials or other intellectual property unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

Updates and availability

RuDesk may release updates to the client, website, backend and administrative tools. Updates may fix bugs, change functionality, improve security or restrict outdated versions. RuDesk aims to maintain service availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation across all networks, countries, devices and configurations.

Limitation of liability

RuDesk is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, RuDesk is not liable for indirect losses, data loss, downtime, configuration errors, user actions, network restrictions, blocking, hardware failures, device incompatibility or consequences of using the service in breach of these terms.

Changes to terms

These documents may be updated as the product, infrastructure and legal requirements evolve. The current version is published on this page. Continuing to use RuDesk after an update constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
